Munnar, the traveler’s paradise

Munnar  is undoubted one of the best tourist destination of Kerala. The western Ghats mountain range is the situated region of Munnar.  It’s a beautiful hill station and before the independence of India, the British Raj elite considered Munnar as their resort.  Munnar is surrounded by full of greenery and rolling hills, enchanting tea plantations are one of attractions of Munnar. It has everything that you would prefer from a hill station. Munnar offers an array of natural wonders and unmatched sightseeing.  Eravikulam National Park, Mattuppetty Dam, Anamudy, Pothamedu View Point, Indo –Swiss project, Eco point and so on is exceptionally good to visit. Munnar  is  situated 5200 fts  above  the sea level  and  it’s known as the land of misty hills.

Munnar is famous for its herbs and medicinal plants. The enchanting greenery in Munnar has to special mention. The tea plantations, several hills, national parks, rivers, lakes etc are the most attractive highlights of Munnar. Every year thousands of national and international tourists visit Munnar. The blooming season of Neelakkurinji flowers in Munnar has to special mention; it increases the number of tourists to Munnar.   October to November and January to May are the best season to visit Munnar. Its scenic hills and greenery are exceptionally beautiful, the gigantic mountains have to repeatedly say, Munnar gives so many visual treats perhaps beyond your expectation.  The beautiful tea plantations and the sightseeing in Munnar would be a memorable experience. There are so many water falls in Munnar,  the primitive Muniyara dolmens  in Munnar is rare sight.

Atukkad Waterfalls,  Marayoor,  Muniyara Dolmens, Tata tea Museum, Echo Point,  Blossom Park, Eravikulam National park, Pthamedu View Point, Kundala Lake, Maattuppety Dam, Anamudi,  Chiththirapuram  & Top Station.

The distance to Munnar from Kochi is 30 Kilo Metres.

Cochin International Air-port is the nearest Air-port. (110 Kilo meters away by road)
